QUARTERLY DATA CENTRE SOLUTIONS MARKET VIEW; PROVIDING LEADING MARKET INFORMATION, COMMENTARY AND ANALYSIS FOR KEY EUROPEAN LOCATIONS
• Co-location take-up in major European markets totaled 66MW in 2014. This is on par with 2013 and 8.7% above the 5-year average.
• Highest co-location take-up (22.3MW) was seen in Amsterdam in 2014, representing a 97% increase on 2013.
• Telecommunications, Media and Technology sector is responsible for 80% of European take-up as continued growth in cloud technology drives market requirements.
• A number of new facilities opened during the course of the year causing availability to reach an all-time high at 152.7MW at the year-end 2014.
